5 Day Chess Camp  
Mon-Fri, July 21-25 — 9:30am-4:30pm
For Kids, K-8. All Levels Welcome
$430 by 6/16/2008 - $460 after that date
World-class chess training using renowned Grandmaster Maurice Ashley's revolutionary teaching method. Campers will learn from the Grandmaster who willl be there for the entire week, as well as from coaches who have been specially trained in his techniques. Chess activities will be balanced with physical activity, opportunities to explore Maymont, as well as other fun activities designed to supplement the chess curriculum.
 
Evening Class
Thurs, July 24th — 6-8pm
For All Ages
$25
Improve your play through this class for more advanced chess players. The class includes an advanced lesson as well as suggestions for developing a plan for continued study.
 
Parents' Class
Tues, July 22nd — 6-7:30pm
For Parents
$25
Open to parents or others interested in helping children succeed with chess. Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn to play, get tips for improving their own play, and learn how to guide their children's development as a chess player.
 
All Camp Events Will Be Held at Maymont Park

Peak Experiences
Peak Experiences

Through a partnership with Peak Experiences (www.peakexperiences.com) children attending the MATCH full or half day camp can go rock climbing for free on Friday night July 25 from 5 to 7.  What a great way to celebrate on the last day of camp.  Beginners and more experienced climbers are welcome.  Parents will need to provide transportation.
 
Educational Learning Games
A big thanks to Educational Learning Games for donating a number of strategy and critical thinking games to augment instruction.
